Dear Pastors and Friends,
As we close out another year, I want to share a glimpse of what God has been doing through Anchor, because it has truly been a year marked by His faithfulness.
In February, we launched Saturday night services with just a handful of people gathering each week to worship. After a short summer break, we relaunched in September with fresh momentum. Today, Anchor meets weekly in the Edinboro Borough Hall conference room, right in the heart of our town—a strategic place where God is opening doors for ministry and community impact.
Throughout 2025, we had the privilege of hosting several events, including:
• Women’s Retreat – February
• Easter Sunrise Service at Edinboro Lake – April
• Baptism Service – June
• Worship Night with Rob Dirty & The Muddy Water Band – August • Women’s Retreat – September
• Faith & Freedom Gathering – October
• Friendsgiving – November
• Neighborhood Noel – December
This Fall, a group of pastors and lay leaders in Edinboro began meeting weekly for prayer and community-focused collaboration. It has been life-giving to partner with others who are passionate about seeing Heaven touch Edinboro. I truly believe that this unity is shifting the spiritual atmosphere of our town. God is using us—not just to host events—but to cultivate connection, healing, and a tangible expression of Jesus’ love.
Anchor is a District Affiliated Church, and this year I completed my credentialing as we finalize the steps to officially establish Anchor Assembly. We are building slowly, but we are building steadily and God has been at work in ways seen and unseen. Some of the highlights this year include our first baptism service, our first consistent tither, multiple testimonies of physical and emotional healing, and the launch of a deliverance ministry. These are powerful markers of God’s presence in our midst.
As you prayerfully plan for next year’s missions giving, would you consider partnering with Anchor financially? I am asking each section church and other local churches to make a two-year commitment, giving monthly or quarterly. Faithful partners will help sustain and strengthen the foundation we are laying as we continue to grow and establish a life-giving, Spirit-led church in Edinboro.
Thank you to every person and church who has sowed into Anchor this past year. Your generosity has made ministry possible, and your partnership means more than you know. Feel free to check out our website for more information (anchoredinboro.com).
Because Jesus is my Anchor,
Amber J. Shearer
